Using Delamination of Cardboard to Make Curved Walls

This is the second cardboard skill video series, and in it I will show you how to use delamination and tabs to create curved walls.

Delamination is when you remove one flat piece from single walled cardboard. In my experience, this is easier with some cardboard than others, and the piece I use in the video is a medium-difficulty piece. It is kind of like peeling off a sticker, and it works best if you can peel as cleanly as possible. If it doesn't peel off cleanly (and it probably won't), don't panic because you can use scissors to separate the ridges, as I show in the video.

After you peel it off, the ridges from the corrugated part of the cardboard allow you to easily curve the cardboard. This creates so many wonderful possibilities, and I would love it if you share your creative use of this technique.
